Grants Administrator

Company DescriptionUnder general direction of the Town Manager.
Serves as the subject matter expert in reviewing, preparing, maintaining, applying, reporting, close-out and monitoring for grants.
Develops and implements systems to track and ensure compliance with the grant application processes and project schedules.
Annual Salary Range:
$57,817 - $92,507 DOQ.
highly qualified candidates may start above minimum.
This is a full-time, FLSA exempt status position with full benefits.
The ideal candidate should possess the ability to manage multiple grants with a range of deadlines and reporting entities, develop and administer departmental goals and objectives, exercise leadership for department and community, analyze and assess programs, policies and operational needs including initiating appropriate changes.
Must be able to interpret and apply applicable federal, state and local policies, laws, and regulations, analyze problems, identify alternate solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals.
Must offer creative approaches that facilitate the preservation of Clarkdale's community values.
Demonstrates flexibility and adjusts performance to evolving circumstances without a loss of integrity or sense of vision, effectively communicate verbally and in writing, develops and maintains courteous, helpful, and professional relationships in dealing with the public, elected officials, business professional and coworkers.
Job DescriptionoImplements goals, objectives, priorities, policies, and procedures of the Town of Clarkdale in respect to grants, projects, and procurement.
oCoordinates and oversees the administration of all Town grants.
oResearch and identifies grant opportunities.
Develops grant funding strategy and identifies future Town program needs and grant opportunities to meet needs.
oWrite, review, and edit grant proposals and applications.
oCollaborates with departments on proposals and applications.
oCoordinates activities to include establishing procedures, implementing grant funding, ensuring compliance with federal, state, town and grant procedures, and monitoring spending.
oDevelops and administers a grant tracking database and prepares various reports.
oCoordinates interdepartmental cooperation.
oResponsible for preparation and oversight for grant audits.
oServes as the contact for grants and projects.
oPerforms other duties as needed or assigned.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business, Public Administration, or related field and 2-5 (two to five) years of increasingly responsible experience in grant administration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices of grant administration.
Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, ordinance, statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
The organization of local government and the interaction of departmental units.
Administrative procedures, practices, and principles.
Project and contract management.
Fiscal management, budget preparation and monitoring.
Skills and Ability to:
Manage multiple grants with a range of deadlines and reporting entities.
Interpret and apply applicable federal, state, and local policies, laws, and regulations.

Possess skills with modern office procedures, methods and equipment including computers and applicable software applications.
Maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information and issues.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid Arizona drivers' license at time of appointment and maintain an excellent driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work can be divided between the office and work sites as required.
Work will require travel throughout the Town for project inspections, to various locations to attend meetings, or to specific locations for seminars and training as needed.
May be required to work outside normally scheduled hours, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
